All our team is in our office on Lake Washington in Kirkland and for the most part we just swivel our chairs around and chat to each other. Since joining Hyperfish, its been a relief to not live in e-mail for 80% of my day, like I used to at Microsoft as a Product Manager.

This blog post explains my trial period using Outlook in the browser and 5 reasons why you should switch if you haven't already! And with these features it's the most convenient data centre I know of.Like most of you reading this in the Microsoft ecosystem, I am a heavy user of the Outlook desktop client.

FileOne simply runs on my Windows laptop with its database file stored on my NAS, replicated easily for portable use. But with the properties of this integrated email client I can keep my "mental belongings" as secure and personal as my LAN is.

And the services offered by cloud computing service providers I reject firmly for why would I leave my important data, both personal and businesslike, with parties of which I never have the certainty that it will not be accessed without my knowledge. True, there are many kinds of business solutions that offer the same abilities but they all depend on a more heavy weight, not to mention costly, platform. As I can collect it however I want, by email, browser or upload form my local computer. Whether it involves correspondence, articles, manuals, reports, examples, links, quotations or invoices, either by text, sound or images I can relate it however I want.

As a self-employed IT professional I care for keeping all information items of interest in a documentary system that is structured just the way that comes to my mind. But when it comes to integrating all the information I might want to share with my network in an organised and protected environment I discovered FileOne delivers the best opportunities I'm known with. Of course in collaboration with an IMAP email server so I can always access my important messages through remote channels like webmail or an app.

Hans Tijveleijn's Experience Personally I've always preferred light email clients, like the late Microsofts Outlook Express. Come on Mr Dickman, its the year 2020 now.! See More Does this mean that Sherman Dickman and his staff are of the opinion that disabled people should be "spending but not heard"? Deeply concerning. Fingers crossed (if I could!!!) Sarah in Cornwall, England 2nd June 2020: Postscript: since writing this review of Postbox on 31st May 2020, my account on the Postbox Inc website has been suspended. I have asked Microsoft to make it impossible for developers to implement this type of scroll bar. I would love to use version 7, but Postbox Inc only make this possible if you have a steady upper body control. Given that personally, and with work, I have eight mail accounts, this is a pretty important issue, and short of writing actual IF Statements, Postbox's choice of filtering criteria is as extensive as it can get. Its a great mail client, great U I, and smart folder filtering that sadly, I can't find in any other mail client. So, I hear you ask, why does this lady still use Postbox 6? Well.

What a crazy world! Postbox Inc owner, Sherman Dickman has not responded to any of my messages via LinkedIn or Twitter and his staff see fit to tell me to use Outlook (no thanks!), or other clients as they no longer support version 6. I never thought that a decline in accessibility / user friendliness (which share common ground) would be seen as "innovative", but there you go. As an e-mail user since the advent of Pegasus Mail for MS DOS 5.2, I worry when a company tell me that we are #allinthistogether (the slogan on their website) but then tell me that they dropped the conventional scroll bars "as it's a competitive market and they have to be innovative".

BrilliantHeracles's Experience Version 6 of Postbox for Windows is a pleasure to use, but as with Mac OS X, version 7 of Postbox for Windows spelt disaster for those of us who do not have perfect arm control due to the needless introduction of very narrow scroll bars with no up / down arrows to click on with a mouse or, in my case, a mouse alternative.
